How much maintenance does an EV charger need?

Very little maintenance is required for EV chargers, but we do recommend checking the charger for wear and tear.

How much does it cost to charge my EV?

Depending on your EV and how much travel you do, the price varies. An EV usually charges at a rate of 7 kW/hr and if you charge your EV overnight, the rate per kW/hr will be cheaper. For example, an urban EV that requires 2.5 hrs of charge overnight at a rate of 28c per kW/hr will cost €4.90.

How long does an EV charger last?

Our products have warranties between 2-5 years depending on the manufacturers. However, depending on the model of the charger, they can last anywhere between 5 to 15 years.

Is planning permission required?

You do not need planning permission for your EV charger on your home unless your home is a protected structure or is in a protected area (e.g. areas of conservation). If unsure, contact your local planning authority.
